Obituary of Earline J. Theobald
Monica – Earline J. Theobald, 91, a resident of the Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center,
formerly of rural Monica, died at 2:30 am Thursday, October 18, 2007, at the center.
Born January 13, 1916, in Princeville, the daughter of Earl and Geneva Keller Weaver, she married Albert J. Theobald on September 16, 1942, in Cheyenne, WY. He died on May 7, 1981, in Peoria. Also preceding her in death was an infant son, John, four brothers and one sister.
Surviving are three sons, David of Elmwood, Bruce (and Shirley) and Carl (and Brenda), both of Monica; two daughters, Peggy (and James) Burris of Auburn, IL, and Cathy (and Wilson) Thomas of Bedford, NH; sixteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Earline received her teaching certificate from the University of Illinois and she taught in several one-room school houses in the Princeville area for 20 years. She and her husband also farmed in the Monica area for 39 years. She was a member of the Monica United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 20, 2007, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Rev. Marc Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 am Saturday until the time of the service. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria.
