Obituary of Frankie E. Burns

Peoria – Frankie E. Burns, 65, of Peoria, formerly of Princeville, died at 1:22 pm Monday, February 11, 2008, at his residence.

Frankie was born November 8, 1942, in Gilson, Illinois, the son of Charles R. and Agnes L. Foster Burns.

Surviving are two sons, Rob(and Shelly) Burns of Wyoming, IL, and Steve Burns of Brimfield, IL; two daughters, Cindy (and Terry) Barnes of East Peoria, IL, and Kelli Burns of Brimfield, IL; four grandsons; three granddaughters; two sisters, Ruth Pickel of East Peoria, IL, and Shirley Crotts of Williamsfield, IL; and one brother, Billie Burns of East Peoria, IL.  His parents preceded him in death.

Frankie served in the United States Air Force.  He worked 20 years; first at Continental Can in Peoria Heights as a maintenance person.  He then owned and operated several taverns for many years, the last one being Frank’s Princeville Tap for 15 years.

Cremation rights have been accorded.  Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Princeville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday, February 16, 2008, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville.
