Obituary of Frances Regina German Princeville – Frances Regina German, 95, formerly of Princeville, a recent resident of Independence Village Mrs. German was born May 13, 1913, in Paducah, KY. She moved to Peoria in 1935 and then to Princeville in 1940. She married Louis E. German in 1928, and shared 76 years of married life together until his death in 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marvin Taylor of Princeville and Willard Taylor of Paducah. The couple moved to Peoria in the 1930’s when Louis was employed by R.G. LeTourneau Co. and then in 1940 they established the L.E. German Implement Co. in Princeville. In the early years Regina worked in the business, but for most of her life she was a homemaker, widely appreciated as a very good cook and an excellent baker of pies and chocolate cakes. She is survived by her two sons, William (Kay) German and Charles (Kathy) German, both of Princeville; six grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Mary Watts and Marge Perryman were long-time caregivers. Mrs. German taught Sunday School at the First Presbyterian Church of Princeville where she was a member for more than 50 years. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Harry Losey will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place in American Mausoleum, Peoria. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or to the Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service.
