Obituary of Eloise Guyot

Princeville – M. Eloise Guyot, 95, a resident of the Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, formerly of Princeville, died at 6:37 am Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the health care center.

Eloise was born on June 13, 1913, in Bone Gap, IL, the daughter of Rolla & Agnes L. Knowles Cortrecht. She married Charles H. Guyot on February 26, 1936, in Allendale, IL.  Charles died May 1, 1986, in Toulon.  Also preceding her in death were four brothers and one sister.

Surviving is one daughter, Patricia (and Verle) Streitmatter of Toulon; two grandsons, Joe (and Jackie) Streitmatter  and Jim (and Mary) Streitmatter, all of Wyoming, IL; three great-grandchildren, Alisha (and Shane) Mandoske of Phoenix, AZ, Bryce Streitmatter of Cave Creek, AZ, and Evan Streitmatter of Wyoming, IL; and two step great-grandchildren, Kristi Schupbach and Darrell Schupbach, both of Livermore, CA.

Eloise worked for many years for L.R. Nelson Co. in Princeville until retiring.  She was a past member of Radnor Grange, and a member of the Princeville United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, November 24, 2008, at Princeville United Methodist Church.  Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria.

Memorial contributions may be made to her church, Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, or to Methodist Medical Center Hospice Services.
