Edelstein – Gertrude M. Ladd, 93, formerly of rural Edelstein, died at 8:25 am Friday, February 15, 2008, at OSF St. Clare Home, Peoria Heights.

Gertrude was born August 27, 1914, in Warren County, Illinois, the daughter of Archie and Anna Lund Brown, she married Raymond J. Ladd on July 29, 1939, in Chillicothe.  He died June 23, 1997, in Peoria Heights.

Surviving are one son, Stephen (and Beverly) Ladd of rural Edelstein, IL; one daughter, Linda (and Ralph) Biddison of Peoria, IL; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.  Her parents preceded her in death.

Gertrude was a 1932 graduate of Chillicothe Township High School. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, February 21, 2008, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Larry Kirk will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service.  Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, rural Chillicothe.
