Obituary of Sharon K. Peterson

Chillicothe – Sharon K. Peterson, 56, of Chillicothe, died at 2:16 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008, in the Emergency Room at Proctor Hospital, Peoria.

Sharon was born June 15, 1952, in Peoria, the daughter of Leonard E. and Katherine R. Berchtold Peterson.

Surviving is her mother of Edelstein; three brothers, Gary (and Marsha) Peterson of Princeville, Bradley (and Rose) Peterson of Edelstein, and Gregory (and Diane) Peterson of Dunlap; three nephews; two nieces; and seven great-nieces and nephews.  Her father and one sister, Pamela Sue Peterson, preceded her in death.

Sharon worked at the Lutheran Home, Peoria, as a licensed practical nurse.  She was a member of the Peoria County Farm Bureau and she attended the Princeville Apostolic Christian Church as a child with her grandmother.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville.  Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service.  Burial will be in Streitmatter Cemetery, rural Princeville.
