Obituary of W. Caryl Scheeler Dunlap – W. Caryl Scheeler, 78, formerly of Dunlap, died 11:15 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2008, at Apostolic Christian Restmor, Inc., Caryl was born September 25, 1930, in Washburn, Marshall County, Illinois, the daughter of Emory J. and Evangeline Vincent Tuttle. She married Russell G. Scheeler on September 11, 1949 at the Presbyterian Church in Dunlap. He died August 28, 2005, in Peoria. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one son, Toby J. Scheeler. Surviving are three sons, Stephen (and Susan) Scheeler, and Rex A. (and Cindy) Scheeler both of Dunlap, and Joseph (and Tamara) Scheeler of Johns Island, SC; three daughters, Kayleen (and Mike) Kraft of Grove, OK, Marlyn S. (and Dennis) Geier of Edwards, and Margaret J. (and Scott) Lindell of Morton; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty (and Ralph) Hubbard of Lacon; and one brother, Emory A. “Bud” Tuttle of Morton. Caryl was a member of Fellowship Bible Church, Peoria, and of the Church of Siesta Bay in Fort Myers, FL. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a follower of Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at Fellowship Bible Church, 4006 N. Sterling, Peoria. Rev. Roger Bowers will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery, Dunlap. Memorial contributions may be made to Aleluya Ministries (Bob & Donna Giffin), Pharr, TX, or Apostolic Christian Restmor, Inc., Morton.
