Obituary of Kimberlin A. "Kim" Sisson

Dunlap – Kimberlin A. “Kim” Sisson, 51, of Dunlap, died at 2:40 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008, at her residence.

Kim was born May 17, 1957, in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of Don & Mary Jouett Orrill. She married Alan Sisson on January 14, 1978, at the Princeville United Methodist Church.  Alan went to be with the Lord on October 18, 1981.

Kim is survived by one daughter, Raeanne (and Edward Twohill) Sisson of Decatur; her father, Don (and Julie) Orrill of Metamora; her mother, Mary (and Ken) Scott of Princeville; one sister, Dee Fauser of Peoria; four nieces, Ashlee Davis (and Sam Bergman) of North Carolina, Megan Davis of Peoria, and Morgan & MacKenzie Fauser of Bartonville; one great-niece, Kaydence Leigh Bergman of North Carolina; and her beloved pet, Buddy.  Kim was greeted in heaven by her husband, Alan, brothers, Dennis & Brad Orrill, and father-in-law, Donald Sisson.

Kim graduated from ICC with an associate degree in nursing.  She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Peoria County Youth Farm and the Peoria County Jail.  She was a member of the Lupus Society and Crafters of America.  Kim last attended Northwoods Community Church, Peoria.

Cremation has been accorded.  A Celebration of Life service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville.  Rev. Harry Losey will officiate.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.  Burial of ashes will follow the service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens, Peoria.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to an account to help defray funeral expenses for Kim Sisson at any CEFCU location.

Kim was a true friend to many, and a loving mother.  She always put her family first. Her hobbies included crocheting, jewelry making, interior decorating and bargain hunting.  She was an avid dog-lover, and she will be greatly missed.  Her family finds peace knowing that she has finally reunited with her soul mate.
