Obituary of Mildred E. Chapin Princeville – Mildred E. Chapin, a life-long resident of Princeville, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2009, at Mildred was born September 7, 1910, in Peoria, the daughter of Charles E. and Myrtle Hackman Garrett. She married Elmer Chapin on September 11, 1928, in Speer. He died April 28, 1978, in Houston, Texas. Surviving are two daughters, Carmelitta (and Gilbert) Brady and Charlene Ault both of Princeville; one granddaughter, Monica Koehler; three grandsons, David Eberle, Lynville (and Pam) Eberle, and Duane (and Cindy) Eberle; 6 great-granddaughters, Olivia Ryan, Kristen Bishop, Carmen Presley, Jenna Escalante, Rachel Eberle, and Brianna Miller; 3 great-grandsons, D. Michael Eberle, Matthew Eberle and Andrew Eberle; and 5 great-great-grandchildren, Kaden Ryan, Hailey Presley, Jesse Escalante, Layla Presley, and Kaylyn Ryan. Her parents and one grandson, Tony Johnson Ault preceded her in death. Mildred was a lifetime member of the Edelstein Congregational United Church of Christ and it Women’s Fellowship. She also was a member of the Chat-A-While Club in Edelstein/Lawn Ridge from 1947 until 2002. Private family graveside will be at Lawn Ridge Cemetery, rural Speer. Pastor David Stamerjohn and Ernie Russell will officiate. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Akron/Princeville Ambulance Service, Akron/Princeville Fire & Rescue, or Heritage Manor, Chillicothe..
