Obituary of Margaret P. Mitchell

Princeville – Margaret P. Mitchell, 89, of Princeville, died at 9:30 pm Friday, December 11, 2009, at Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, where she had been a patient since February 3rd.

Margaret was born March 23, 1920, in Peoria County, the daughter of Albert & Rhoda Moran Mitchell.

Surviving are two sisters, Darlene Oertley of rural Princeville, and Alberta (Bill) Murphy of Peoria; a sister-in-law, Shirley Mitchell of Roanoke, IL; and many nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by ten brothers & sisters.

She spent her life as caregiver for her family, especially her sister, Phyllis.  Margaret’s passions were her family, her friends, and her cooking.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Troy Agema will officiate.  Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
