Obituary of Deborah Elaine Peters

Brimfield – Deborah Elaine Peters, 51, of Brimfield, passed away at 10 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born May 10, 1958, in Peoria to Kenneth R. and Jeanne E. Clark Challacombe.  She married Randy Peters on July 3, 1976 in Brimfield.  He survives.  Also surviving are her parents of Brimfield; a daughter, Stacey (Stephen) Vohland of Edwards; two sons, Scott (Jennifer) Peters of Peoria, Corey Peters of Brimfield; four grandchildren, Alex & Allie Vohland, and Preston & Emme Peters; two sisters, Diana Montag and Karen (Bret) Kingdon, both of Brimfield; three brothers, Keith (Marcie) Challacombe of Elmore, Jeff (Missy) Challacombe and Kevin (Denise) Challacombe, both of Brimfield.

Her grandparents preceded her in death.

Deborah was a secretary for the past 23 years at Kress Corporation in Brimfield.  She attended both St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brimfield and Northwoods Community Church in Peoria. She was a loving and generous person who was a best friend to many.  She enjoyed working out, dancing, playing pool, gardening and spending time with her family.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brimfield.  Father John Verrier will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 8:00 p.m Tuesday at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville with recitation of the Rosary at 4:30 p.m.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Brimfield.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Midwest affiliate.
