Obituary of James C. Streitmatter

Edelstein – James C. Streitmatter, 65, of South Bend, IN, formerly of Edelstein, IL, died at 5:24 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Indiana.

James was born January 6, 1944, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Rudy and Freida Schaer Streitmatter.

Surviving are one son, Lance Streitmatter of South Bend, IN; one daughter, Kari Rollins of Woodland Park, CO; and four grandsons, Eric & Sean Streitmatter and Jake & Nick Rollins.

James received a Bachelor of Science from Bradley University, Peoria, IL, and taught at a community college.  James was a kind and loving father.  He also had a strong faith to God.

There will be private family services.   Burial will be in Streitmatter Cemetery, rural Princeville. 

Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.

Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville, is in charge of arrangements.
