Obituary of Edna E. Will

Princeville – Edna E. Will, 87, formerly of Princeville, died at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Heritage Manor, Chillicothe, where she was a resident for the last 5 years.

Edna was born August 1, 1921, in Effingham, Illinois, the daughter of William and Mary Brummer Donsbach.  She married Clarence “Pete” Will on November 29, 1941, in Effingham.  He died November 9, 1996, in Chillicothe. 

Surviving are one daughter, Carolyn (and Lewis) Haney of Princeville; two sons, Carl (and Barb) Will of Princeville, and Charles (and Carol) Will of Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren, Teresa Blevins & Mary (and Dan) Wells both of Princeville, Debbie (and Rich) Baer of Florida, Tammy (and Bob) Fitzjarrald of Canton, Adam (and Katie) Will of Princeville, Christina (and Keith) Yates of Florida, and Cathy (and John) Watkins of Chillicothe; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and one brother, Alfred Donsbach of Princeville.  Her parents, four brothers, three sisters, and one great-grandson preceded her in death.

She first worked as an aide at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham.  She later worked as a waitress for Prince’s Café and then as a cook and waitress for Irma Tucker at the Pool Hall in Princeville. She was a member of the St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church and its Altar & Rosary Society. 

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church.  Father Luis Escalante will officiate.  Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, with recitation of Rosary at 5:00.   Burial will be in St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery, Princeville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Akron/Princeville Ambulance Service or Community Hospice of America, 2000 W. Pioneer Parkway, Peoria, IL  61615.
