Obituary of Maxine L. Worsfold Elmwood – Maxine L. Worsfold, 86, of rural Elmwood, died at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, Maxine was born on May 25, 1922, in Elba Township, Knox County, Illinois, the daughter of Willis Edgar & Iva Gertrude Teets Camp. She married Merle W. Worsfold on May 23, 1942, in Palmyra, MO. Merle preceded her in death on October 17, 1991, in Peoria. Also preceding her in death were her parents and two sisters, Jean Jones & Elva Bohanan. Surviving are three sons, Dennis (and Anna) Worsfold of Trivoli, IL, Dave (and Shirley) Worsfold of Goodfield, and Ronald (and Suzanne) Worsfold of Elmwood; one daughter, Patricia A. (and James) Boon of Pekin; eight grandchildren & fifteen great-grandchildren; and one niece, Diana (and Mike) Theobald of Princeville. Maxine was a wonderful mother, and avid Cubs fan, and a Chicago Bulls fan, especially loved to follow Scottie Pippin. She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. Maxine loved the Lord and was a member of Heaven’s View Christian Fellowship in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 17, 2009, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home. Pastors Cliff Parks and Tony Pierce will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
