Obituary of Harry W. King
Harry was born March 17, 1919, in Princeville, the son of Robert and Lillian Penn King. He married Virginia E. Woertz on September 29, 1941, in Kahoka, MO. She died August 12, 2008, in Chillicothe. Surviving is one daughter, Sandra K. (Greg) Martin of Chillicothe, daughter-in-law, Marla Woertz of Altona; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Orville King of Toulon; and one sister, Velma Keckler of Toulon. His parents, one son, Larry Woertz, five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. In the 1940’s, Harry drove a milk truck for Kraft Foods in Toulon. He also farmed in the Toulon & Princeville areas, retiring in 1988. Harry attended Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville, where funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Ministers of the Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Burial will be in Streitmatter Cemetery, rural Princeville. Memorial contributions may be made to Rescue 33, Chillicothe. Private condolences may be sent to the family by clicking here. |
