Obituary of Edith Ileen Moynihan Peoria- Edith Ileen Moynihan, 84, a resident of OSF St. Clare Nursing Home, formerly of Dunlap, died at 5:20 a.m. Sunday, December 12, 2010, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Ileen was born November 6, 1926, in Oak Hill, IL, the daughter of Bernard and Edith Savage McIntyre. She married Francis Wayne Moynihan on April 22, 1950, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1968, in Peoria. Also preceding her in death were two children, Michael Francis Moynihan and Mary Margaret Moynihan; and two brothers, Leo McIntyre and Don McIntyre. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Ann Knapp of Lincoln, NE, and Lisa Feinholz of Washington, IL; four grandchildren, Kelly Knapp of San Francisco, Rod Feinholz of Lincoln, NE, Mary Feinholz and Kaitlyn Feinholz, both of Washington, IL; three sisters, Betty Stewart of Bloomington, IL, Helen Crain of Hanna City, IL, and Lois (John) Ratcliff of Sparland, IL; one brother, Art (Jenny) McIntyre of Chillicothe, IL; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy McIntyre of Longmont, CO. Ileen owned and operated the Peru Pastry Shop in Peru, IL from 1956 to 1965, and owned and operated the Norgetown Laundromat at Lake of the Woods, Dunlap, from 1976 to 1987. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kewanee.
