Obituary of John Gregory Silvest
Princeville – John Gregory “Greg” Silvest, 44, of Peoria, died at 8:48 p.m., Sunday September 26, 2010, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Greg was born October 25, 1965, the son of John Silvest and Rebecca Draland-Doyle. He is survived by his long time partner and soul mate, Pamela Hamm.
Surviving are two children, Sarah and Cameron Silvest of Peoria, his mother, Rebecca Draland-Doyle of Monica, two grandchildren, Isaiah and Sophia; one brother, Stewart Silvest of Peoria, sisters, Heather (Mike) Huckaba of Chillicothe, Melissa and Michelle Sibley both of Princeville, Julie (Joseph) Culin of Austin, TX, two step children, Kiel and Keely Hamm.
His father John G. Silvest, one brother, Patrick Sibley, and his grandparents preceded him in death.
Greg was the owner of Access Paint. He was a very loved and loving dad, son, brother, grandpa, partner and friend. Greg was an especially gifted artist and painter who had a big heart and loved his family with all his heart and soul.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday October 1, 2010, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home in Princeville. Rev. Chuck Tate will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
