Obituary of Mary E. Simpson Wyoming – Mary E. Simpson, 74, a resident of Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Toulon, formerly of Wyoming, died at 6:55 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Mary was born September 12, 1935 in Morton, the daughter of George A. and Clara Vollmer Cook. She married George H. Simpson June 5, 1964, in Stark County. He preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Karen Owens of Douglas, Wyoming; two sons, Rick Smith of St. Regis, Montana, Mark (Connie) Smith of Streator, Illinois; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Sharon (Mike) Roach of Wyoming. Also surviving is one step daughter, Rebecca Simpson of Racine, WI; two step sons, Richard Simpson of Racine, WI, and Roy Simpson. Two brothers, George Cook Jr., Sylvester Cook, and one sister, Carolyn Cook preceded her in death. Mary was an inspector for Trans Technology in Breeze, IL for 30 years. Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Princeville Cemetery. Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
