Obituary of Martha Elaine Stoecker

Princeville – Martha Elaine Stoecker, 90, of Princeville, passed away surrounded by her family at 11:50 a.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.
Elaine was born September 19, 1920, in Princeville, the daughter of Vaughn and Olive Sloan Williams. She married Howard H. Stoecker on February 24, 1940, in Clinton, IA. Howard survives, along with her children, Larry (Carol) Stoecker of Washington, IL, Dennis (Jane) Stoecker of Princeville, Donna Hurt of Peoria, and Ronald (Debra) Stoecker of Princeville; a sister, Marjorie Keller of Princeville; twelve grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Belles of Harmony, and dedicated several years of service aiding the Rural Peoria County Council on Aging. She was a 72 year member of the Princeville United Methodist Church and was a former member of the church choir.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010, at Princeville United Methodist Church. Rev. Rex Hendrix will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Princeville United Methodist Church or to the Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service.
