Obituary of Virginia C. Kitterman

Elmwood – Virginia C. Kitterman, 88, of Elmwood, formerly of Princeville, died at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home, Peoria.
Virginia was born on February 20, 1924, in Princeville, Illinois, the daughter of Clyde and Catherine Bishop Erikson, she married Billie E. Kitterman on February 29, 1940, in Kahoka, MO. He died December 31, 2007, in Peoria.
Surviving are two sons, Jack (DeeDee) Kitterman of Winters, CA, and Billie C. (Carol) Kitterman of Peoria, IL; one daughter, Erma (John) Brown of Henderson, NV; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters Vesta Clark of Elmwood, IL, and Phyllis Peters of Princeville, IL. Her parents, one brother, one sister and one half-sister preceded her in death.
Virginia was a beautician working at her own shop in Princeville. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the former Union Grove Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Princeville, and a member of the Princeville Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be Noon on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Hammitt-Hott Funeral Home, Princeville. Mike Martin will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
